About Us

Our Associations

As a New Testament Church, Colonial Baptist Church is an independent body of baptized believers. We associate with churches of the American Baptist Association, as well as the Missionary Baptist Association of Texas. Our History

In March 2002, ten people covenanted together to organize Colonial Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ricky Knight. Having met to study God’s Word in Pastor Knight’s home, worship services were moved to the Conference Center of the La Quinta Inn, Arlington, Texas.

Land and a house, located in a growing area of Grand Prairie, Texas, were purchased and modified for worship in 2004. As Colonial Baptist Church continues to worship in this facility, the church looks forward to the day when a new worship center may be constructed on the property.

The members of Colonial Baptist Church have been blessed to serve the Lord under the leadership of two faithful and loving pastors. Following Brother Knight’s resignation as pastor in November of 2009, Colonial Baptist Church called Brother George Jainchill. After serving as pastor for six years, Brother Jainchill resigned in August of 2016.

Brother Steve Vesper is currently serving as Interim Pastor. Colonial Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking the man God has in His plan to serve as Pastor.
