Our Services

Sunday School 9:45 AM

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

Bring your bible, or use one we provide, as we open up the word of God and study together. Classes are divided by age group and are led by teachers humbly devoted to guiding us in our desire to learn more about the true and living God.

Sunday Morning Worship 10:45 AM

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20

This is a special time when members of Colonial Baptist and visitors join together to worship the Lord.

We worship together. While a nursery is available, we encourage those with little ones to remain in worship as a family. Little noises and wiggling children are not a disruption, on the contrary, we count it a blessing. What a wonderful opportunity for children to observe and participate in the worship of our Lord. We are teaching the next generation to glorify God in worship.

“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.” Psalms 95:2

Beginning with hymns of praise, we join together singing songs to honor God reminding us of all He has accomplished, as well as promises of what will come. Our minds are directed to focus on God, as we lay aside the outside troubles of the world and prepare our hearts to hear the preaching of God’s Word.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” Romans 1:16

Following singing, God is honored by the preaching of His Word. It is through the hearing of His Word we can learn of the love of God and the hope found solely through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Wednesday Bible Study 6:30 PM

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Adults are encouraged to set aside a time prior to class for personal study. Each week key verses or chapters of the Bible are assigned for reading. A list of questions related to the study are also provided. On Wednesday, the class meets together for an interactive discussion.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Youth meet in a separate classroom for a time of study and encouragement. Our current study is about the life of Daniel. Our children face many challenges and are surrounded by an abundance of negative influences in the world. Daniel is a wonderful example of standing strong in one’s beliefs, even when it is considered unpopular to do so. We count this a valuable time to instill in our youth the love of God and His desire for them to follow after Him.
